The exhibition Georgia, the cradle of viticulture, will embody Georgia’s unwavering bonds and love for wine and vine, from the earliest times to the present day. They are illustrated in his beliefs, his mythology, his folklore, his art and through his table. The Georgian tradition of producing wine in earthenware jars called Kvevri is unique in the world. UNESCO has enshrined in its intangible cultural heritage of humanity this traditional method of winemaking.
The curator of the exhibition is David Lordkipanidze, General Director of the National Museum of Georgia and Merab Mikeladze, editor of the National Museum of Georgia.
The scenography of the exhibition is entrusted to Lina López, artist, curator, exhibition designer and museographer. She also participated as an artist in the design and realization of the art installations for the exhibition: Marani; Croyances; Explosion and La Ultima Cena (Film).
